Purpose of the development: This material is used to equip the drilling tool (crowns, bits) in pencils, combs dressing of grinding wheels, a cutter for the machining of non-ferrous metals and their alloys and others.

Technical characteristic: Physical and mechanical properties and performance characteristics of the material: --- Thermal stability up to 1500 K --- Hardness of polycrystalline diamond frame (AKTM) 50 GPa --- CVD-diamond hardness after sintering at HP, HT-conditions of 120-140 GPa --- Compressive strength, Rst. 2800 MPa --- Wear rate in turning granite 7-14 times less than AKTM that was not reinforced CVD-diamond --- Features drill bits Gibridaytom means faster drilling wells in hard rock IX-XI times and increase the pass in 1.52 times.

Ultrahard polycrystalline material - GIBRIDAYT first obtained in the ISM im.V.M.Bakulya NASU (Department № 1) reinforced by a polycrystalline diamond composite (AKTM) other polycrystalline diamond obtained by CVD-technologies. A significant increase in the hardness of CVD-diamond (by 30-70%) is provided by plastic deformation of diamond grains in the formation of a rigid framework around the CVD-plate.
