PREVENTION REGIMENS OF POSTOPERATIVE INFECTIOUS COMPLICATIONS


Purpose of the development: It is used in heart surgery under extracorporeal circulation.

Recommended application field: Medicine, cardiology, cardiac surgery.

Advantages over analogues: The scheme does not require additional technology and to reduce the number of postoperative septic complications, shorten hospital stay, reduce the quantity of drugs used to avoid long-term disability in patients. The scheme has been used on 82 patients with various heart diseases. The number of septic complications was reduced from 6% to 2.1%.

Description of the development:

In patients operated on for heart disease in cardiopulmonary bypass, there is the risk of septic complications. In order to prevent such complications developed the scheme of events: preoperative decontamination (suppression of pathogenic flora of the body), reducing the time and cardiopulmonary bypass surgery, installation of flow-washing systems (irrigation wound with antiseptic solutions), use of immunostimulatory drugs and broad-spectrum antibiotics (ceftriaxone) in the postoperative period and intravenous laser irradiation of blood (VLOK). This scheme has been tested at the Republican Scientific Center of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery and Cardiac Department DRDCR (Khujand).
