NEW NON-TOXIC ANTI-CORROSIVE PIGMENTS FOR GROUND PAINT COATING
Purpose of the development:
Anticorrosive pigment concentration of 7% in the primer coatings used for dyeing metal surfaces containing corrosion products on the surface to a thickness of 100 microns. For soils intended for coloring or prepared surface rust with thin layers, the concentration of pigments can be reduced to 1-3%. If it is allowed to drop in the base recipe content of other anti-corrosive pigments, inhibitors, and fillers.
Recommended application field:
The pigments have been successfully applied to protect against corrosion of metal structures and equipment companies such as Khmelnytsky and Rivne nuclear power plant, Western Power System, Kerch Sea Commercial Port, the State Enterprise "Tar", JSC "Brom", etc.
The development stage readiness:
Ready for application
Description of the development:
() The new technology of high-performance anti-corrosion pigments with properties of rust converter on the basis of raw materials in Ukraine - stone processing waste peach, apricot, walnut, etc.
They belong to the functional group of organic pigments, inhibiting corrosion of ferrous metals. Used as a functional additive in the manufacture of anticorrosive paints on basis of different film-forming substances.
Depending on the prescription dose intended for:
- Soil and ground enamels on rust;
- Anticorrosive primers prepared for painting metal surfaces.
Provide improved adhesion of paint formulations applied to corroded metal surfaces with a layer of rust and 100 microns, retarding and locking on a metal substrate corrosion processes.
In combination with other anti-corrosion pigments (borates, phosphates, etc.), enhance their action (due to the synergistic effect) enhancing the protective properties of coatings.
