Purpose of the development: Material models VSM-600 and VSM-700 are used for the self-sustaining constructions production, and material model VSM-400 is heat-insulating. The production of these materials can be arranged using a standard multidaylight press or a continuously working track press, equipped with a heating unit.

Recommended application field: The material can be used for the designing of the ship interiors (ceiling and wall panels, doors, furniture etc). It also can be widely used in the passenger carriages manufacturing, and in the equipment of the constructions with the high level fire-proof requirements.

Advantages over analogues: The material is characterized by the water-resisting property, fungus resistance, incombustibility, it is produced from the available domestic raw components, it is easy to work with and it is environmentally friendly.

A production technique of the slab, asbestos-containing, noncombustible construction material for design basing on vermiculite, liquid soda glass and special additives has been created. This material according to its main physical, mechanical, and operational characteristics satisfies the modern shipbuilding requirements and gives the opportunity to create noncombustible constructions and products. Depending on the purpose the material can be delivered or in a nonlaminated form either coated in sheet metal, metal-base laminate, decorative plastic, veneer sheet etc. The strength property of the coated slabs is considerably higher. For example, the three-layer slab (having material density of 700 kg/m3, covered with noncombustible decorative plastic 1,3 mm) has a bending strength limit of 14-15 mPa.
