Description of the development:
()
A typical buoyant material is a syntactic foam, which is a composite material based on the epoxy with a filling material in a form of the hollow glass thin-walled microspheres with the diameter of 30 mkm. There are other modifications based on the syntactic foams, which are additionally filled with the gas micropores or macropores of different constructional materials. Size and mass characteristics of the submersible equipment depend on the buoyant materials density and its resistance limits in relation to hydrostatic load. Sometimes such a material functions as a heat-insulating material. Mainly, this concerns the technical facilities for the deep-sea oil and gas production processes.
