PLASMA SPRAYING IN GAS-AIR MEDIA
Purpose of the development:
The institute has developed a process and equipment (low-temperature plasmagenerator) for plasma spraying in hydrocarbon gas-air mixtures.
Advantages over analogues:
In comparison mith conventional plasma media (argon, helium,, nitrogen or their mixtures with hydrogen), air-gas-mixture plasma increases the generatior's heat rating and, accordingly, spraying capacity, substantially reduces costs and widens the application area of spraying process.

Description of the development:
() The process uses naturalgas, propane or propan-butane mixture. The process can be used for spaying metal, oxide, carbide, composite and other coatings and ensures high-quality coating.
