TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT OF USING AND MANUFACTURING THE HOTMELT GLUES BASED ON WASTE OF POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE IN SHOE INDUSTRY


Purpose of the development: Development of technology for the manufacture and use of hot melt adhesives for shoe production of PET packaging waste (PET).

Recommended application field: Light industry, including footwear production.

Technical characteristic: The technology of using hot melt adhesives obtained by the chemical recycling of waste PET packaging in the footwear industry.    It is proved that the waste products possess all the necessary properties for use as an adhesive.    The optimum process conditions of manufacture of hot melt adhesives that can be used in operations adhesive tightening the shoe.    Proved the dependence of adhesive properties of hot melt adhesives from chemical and technological factors of the process for their preparation.    Optimized process parameters of the formation of an adhesive bond to tighten the shoe. Adhesive compound, obtained on the basis of the hot melt adhesives are characterized by high strength and handling properties.    Application of the developed hot melt adhesive in the shoe tightening will reduce the operating temperature equipment, speeding up the blank shoe collection operation, improve the quality of manufacturing shoes and improve working conditions. The scientific novelty of the results: -The influence of chemical and technological parameters of waste processing technologies for PET adhesive properties of the products; First-proposed mechanism of action of glycerol on PET waste, depending on the ratio of the initial reaction product of the process temperature, type and concentration of the catalyst in the reaction mixture and elimination process byproducts; -Received and analyzed mathematical models of the influence of technological parameters of operations tightening shoe glue on the strength of adhesive joints.    The practical significance of the results: -A method of recycling PET, which allows you to get the products for later use as a hot-melt adhesive for the manufacture of footwear; , Proposed an optimal composition of polyester hot melt adhesive based on PET waste, the use of which the operations of the adhesive tightening shoe reduces the temperature parameters of technological operations adhesive tightening shoe, speed gathering operation uppers, improve manufacturing quality footwear and improve working conditions;  The best-developed technology parameters glue pulling shoes with hot melt glue on the basis of waste PET package of materials that allowed us to obtain adhesive bonds with rates of properties that meet the regulatory requirements for quality footwear.

Advantages over analogues: Compared with foreign and domestic (the only one in Ukraine polyester KR-16-20, manufactured using raw materials) analogues designed hot melt adhesive composition is characterized by high strength and performance, also designed for the use of its technological conditions allow: - To reduce the temperature parameters of operations adhesive tightening footwear; - Shorten the process of making shoes by combining operations and one-sided adhesive application; - To improve the working conditions of workers by avoiding working with solvents; - Increase productivity, resulting in increased speed gluing; - To establish domestic production of adhesives with a relatively low cost of production.     The main disadvantage of forming technology of adhesive joints with existing formulations of hot melt adhesives are high enough temperature readings bonding process and the high viscosity of the adhesive, which provides a more sophisticated performance of individual pieces of equipment.

The development stage readiness: Introduced in production

Technical and economic effect: The production of hot melt adhesives for footwear production needs to attract significant amounts of natural resources, the number of which in recent years has significantly reduced. In Ukraine there is no source of raw materials for their production. Importers are imported to Ukraine more than 150 tons synthetic polymers investment material industry to become waste after use. One way to address these issues is the production of hot melt adhesives with the involvement of secondary polymeric materials.     The environmental effect of the introduction of the project is to: - Reducing the amount of accumulated waste PET - Reducing the area of ??land under the landfill and greenhouse emissions into the atmosphere    Social effects - associated with the creation of additional jobs.    At present, the market demand in the Ukrainian-melt adhesives for different purposes (packaging, corrugated cardboard, topography, labeling, footwear production) is more than 500-600 tons / month. Averaged price of imported adhesives 25-30 UAH / kg. Price developed - 10-12 UAH / kg. The gain in the price will be more than 3 million UAH / month.    Compared with foreign and domestic (the only one in Ukraine polyester KR-16-20, manufactured using raw materials) analogues designed hot melt adhesive composition is characterized by high strength and performance, also designed for the use of its technological conditions allow: - To reduce the temperature parameters of operations adhesive tightening footwear; - Shorten the process of making shoes by combining operations and one-sided adhesive application; - To improve the working conditions of workers by avoiding working with solvents; - Increase productivity, resulting in increased speed gluing; - To establish domestic production of adhesives with a relatively low cost of production.    The main disadvantage of forming technology of adhesive joints with existing formulations of hot melt adhesives are high enough temperature readings bonding process and the high viscosity of the adhesive, which provides a more sophisticated performance of individual pieces of equipment.    Thus the creation of the domestic production of hot melt adhesives based on recycled material is highly relevant and environmentally attractive project.     Results have been implemented: - At the Khmelnitsky tailoring shoe factory on the operations of manufacturing of shoes designed with hot-melt adhesive composition based on PET waste actually received an annual economic impact of Rs 41360. - By JSC "Vzutteks" in the manufacture of footwear adhesive developed using hot melt adhesive composition based on PET waste actually received economic effect is 3.76 USD. a pair of shoes, the annual production - 50 thousand pairs of shoes.

The purpose of the project.    The aim of the project is to develop technology and the use of hot melt adhesives for iuttevogo production of packaging waste polietilentereftalatnoy (PET).        Current state of the world and in Ukraine.    In the early 1990s, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, most of the companies making shoes found themselves in a difficult situation, which is associated with a decrease in the number of local materials for the production of shoes and supporting materials such as adhesives, accessories, etc. The crisis in the light industry and partly due to the situation in the chemical industry of the country, which for lack of domestic raw materials do not have the capacity to manufacture such materials.    Subject to the existing conditions regarding materials for light industry, including for footwear production, a possible solution to this problem is to use recycled materials, namely, polimermistkih industrial and domestic waste. The expediency of this direction predetermined by the fact that the amount of polymer materials every 5 years are doubled, and all currently reach 180 million tons per year.    According to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, every year in industry and in the housing stock of cities and towns of the country accumulates nearly 6 million tons of waste, of which about 50% are packaging waste, among them a large particle (up to 10% in weight and 40% by volume ) occupy waste polymeric materials which can be used as raw material for poliesternih hot melt adhesives for the shoe industry.    According to statistics in the world today is accumulated 1.7 million tons of plastic waste in a. Of these, 10% of waste incinerated, 10% of the waste is converted into recyclate, and 80% to be disposed of, that is, two thirds of waste land fill.    A characteristic feature of the structural composition of household waste that is constantly accumulating, is the growing particles in the waste consumption of bottles made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which is widely used for packaging of various liquid products: mineral and table water shkogolnih and soft drinks, fruit juices, syrups, herbal oil, vinegar and the like. In Ukraine, the waste of these bottles per oriented calculations, taking into account the supply of imported products now account for more than 100-120 thousand tons per year.    In contrast to the EU and the USA in Ukraine are not organized system of collecting PET bottles, as they are sent to a landfill. This untapped resource lies on the ground, given the country's lack of its own production of PET resin.    At the same time it should be noted that PET is a polymer having unique performance characteristics and because waste products from this material after appropriate preparation and processing may have certain economic value for the manufacture of new products.    Subject to the development of modern technology recycling of PET, they can be regarded as a powerful source of intermediates for the manufacture of auxiliary materials for shoes, such as hot-melt adhesives for the most productive technology of making shoes.    The use of hot melt adhesives allows you to: - From an economic point of view - to increase productivity - From the technological to mechanize and automate the assembly of shoes                The main ideas of previous research and development, which are the basis of the project.     As of today still remains unresolved the issue of domestic shoe production melt adhesives that provide an opportunity to improve the efficiency of the process. However, the number of secondary polymer raw materials, which could be successfully be used in the manufacture of adhesives from year to year. Most of the technologies which are used for processing these wastes - mechanical and does not allow to obtain new materials.     To achieve the goal in the work have been formulated and solved the basic tasks: , A method for producing hot melt adhesives by chemical recycling of PET bottles, followed by their use in footwear manufacturing operations; -Studies on the mechanism of chemical recycling and the impact of chemical and technological factors PET recycling process on the property received hot melt adhesives; -Optimization of process parameters obtained by applying hot melt adhesives based on PET waste at tightening the shoe glue; -Investigation of the main indicators of the properties of hot melt adhesives based on PET waste.     The object of study - the process of getting hot melt adhesives based on recycled materials for the shoe industry.     The subject of the study - the technology of making and using hot melt adhesives based on PET waste in the footwear industry.      The novelty of the project, technical and technological aspects of the project. The most appropriate agents of destruction should be considered as polyols.     A model of the chemical recycling of PET bottles involves a sequence of reactions: - Destruction of the original polymer, the synthesis of oligomers due to metabolic reactions; - The formation of branched compounds.   A probable mechanism of the process of action of glycerol (GL) of the waste PET, which provides for a wide range of adhesive joints.     To evaluate the physical and chemical properties of the hot melt adhesive poliesternogo defined standard techniques, which are provided by regulations, namely: - Physico-chemical methods for the determination of the functional groups of the polymers, viscosity, and weight average molecular weight serednechislovoy polymer softening temperature; - Spectroscopic methods for the analysis of hot-melt adhesive compositions; - X-ray method of investigation; gas chromatographic analysis of hot melt adhesives; - Physical and mechanical methods of research adhesive joints; - The methods of mathematical planning and optimization.
