The problem of creating a system of effective methods of testing the wear of friction pairs is one of the basic problems of tribology determining the progress in this area. Wear test must complete a certain model parameters of wear. Only the presence of the model parameters for each pair of friction allows the quantification of wear in the friction machines, to assess their resource. In this paper we propose, unlike conventional tests at constant surface pressure, testing samples in a variable contact pressure. Under these conditions, there is a complex process of wear and explicitly the dependence of the pressure-nose directly changing depreciation can not be obtained. However, if this be described by differential equations and flowing process as the initial take a function depending on the wear of the sliding path, it is possible to reduce the problem of determining the parameters of the model wear to an inverse of the contact problem with wear. The implementation of the proposed solutions require the ideas of contact problems with wear for a couple of friction for two bodies, for the samples taken for testing. As test samples taken from the body surface of a simple regular shape: plane, sphere, cylinder, cone, wedge. Exact solution contact problems with the elasticity, plasticity and creep in contact with the present level of development of methods is possible in principle, in particular, numerical methods. However, these solutions are bulky, their use in practice tests is difficult. In this regard, in this paper we propose an approximate approach based on the basic assumption of the absolute rigidity of the bodies in contact, that is, it is assumed that the body is not deformed. This assumption gives acceptable results in the case where movement of the indicator from moving significantly exceed deformations. Calculations show that in the majority of cases the test this assumption is acceptable. As a result, it can be argued that the application was developed practically useful theory test methods for wear. During the development process we have given the methodological procedures and examples of the application of these methods. In the future, to be implemented next major step in creating an efficient methods of wear testing, including research and production work, including: 1) the development of model systems for testing and conduct complex research on them for the selection and testing of the most promising methods; 2) To establish, manufacture and standardization of installations for the production and testing of a wide Research applications; 3) improve, as the techniques and systems for testing.
