Purpose of the development: Proposed variator can be used in the drive mechanisms for height adjustment of the transmission ratio, 

Recommended application field: engineering

Technical characteristic: The proposed friction variator replaced the sliding friction on the rolling friction due to the fact that: - Cutting roller is arranged on both sides tapered oppositely disposed recesses, and mounted on a spherical axis; - Roller transmission mechanism is associated with a spherical thrust axis and with an optional fixed gear; - In the gear train is one of the wheels connected to the shaft of the drive unit, and the second - freely planted on a limited traction along the way; - Second wheel equipped with an additional, rigidly connected flange mounted symmetrically around a spherical hole, at least two telescopic rods made ??in the form of two polutyag; - Polutyag one ends pivotally connected with the spherical roller and the flange and second ends polutyag - with ends of springs, the other ends arranged one inside the other end polutyagy polutyagi second, fixed regulators and nuts.

Advantages over analogues: Through the sliding friction in the kinematic pair of roller-known friction disk variable drive provides a low power, low reliability and durability, which significantly reduces the efficiency and limits the scope of its application. Replacing a kinematic pair roller-disk sliding friction by rolling friction in the proposed variator will provide: - The transfer of greater drive power by increasing the contact forces in the kinematic pair of roller-ROM; - Forced wear of the friction of rubbing surfaces; - More reliability and durability as the parts of the kinematic pair and the variator as a whole; - Increase the development of powered machines and units; - Reducing the unit cost of production; - Ease of operation and maintenance of the friction of the variator; - Extension of the scope to drive machine tools, conveyors, vehicles, various types of process equipment and other processing industries.

Friction variator comprising a housing having mounted therein a disk able to rotate spring-loaded conjugate with spherical roller displacement mechanism associated with the roller, and a drive unit which is characterized in that the roller is cut away on both sides tapered oppositely disposed, the recesses and mounted on spherical shaft, and a mechanism for moving the roller is designed as a rod, connected with the spherical axis with further fixed gear, a wheel which is connected to a shaft drive assembly, and the second - to freely planted rod limited axial stroke and equipped with an additional, rigid associated with the flange mounted symmetrically around a spherical opening of at least two telescopic rods made in the form of two polutyag, one end of which is pivotally connected with the spherical roller and the flange and second ends polutyag - with ends of springs, the other ends arranged one inside polutyagy the other end vtorogy polutyagy and fixed regulators nuts. Application of the proposed friction variator, compared with the known, would allow: - Increase the power transmitted through the variator by improving the smoothness of rotation and balance the drive for exception in whipping him and self-oscillations, jerks and bumps; - To reduce the wear of the friction surfaces, and thereby improve the reliability and durability of the CVT; - To extend the scope of the drives with increased capacity and speed.
