Description of the development:

The technology is designed to improve the quality and reduce the time of surgical treatment of the damaged area of ??the cervical spine in the implementation of anterior interbody fusion with use of interbody implants made in the form of cervical fixation plate with fixing the bone screw. According to this technology, first perform left-sided anterolateral access to the Smith-Robinson to the ventral surface of the damaged area of ??the vertebral bodies of the cervical spine. Next perform anterior decompression with resection of the intervertebral discs or damaged vertebral body, reduced cervical sagittal contour, set interbody support. After that, put on the ventral parts of the vertebral bodies specifically designed for surgery according to the technology locking cervical plate with elongated stepped through holes on the plate thickness profile for fixing the plate to the bone, which is equipped with lock washers step congruent holes form, attached to place the marked holes and fixing the bone screw, which are placed in the holes of lock washers. Then, in the neck hole of the plate is installed in the places where it is necessary, marked lock washers, and the free ends of Circlip executed by their edges sharp teeth to the cortical bone of the vertebral bodies. Finally, into the hole lock washers securing the bone screws and screwed them into the cancellous bone of the vertebral bodies of their heads all the way to the lock washers and tighten the screws. Thus, due to the possibility of micromovings lock washers with the bone screw holes along the neck plate, along with the bone in the process of the bone block at the same time improving the dynamic compression excluded the possibility of partial unscrewing fixing bone screws and preserve the primary stable fixation of the cervical plate to the vertebral bodies.
