Purpose of the development: Control stations of pump units are intended for control of one pump unit or a group of pump units with capacity from 2.2kW to 315kW.

Advantages over analogues: Application of control station of pump units provides: 1. minimal starting currents; 2. continuity of liquid level regulation; 3. absence of hydraulic shots, destroying a hydraulic network; 4. electric power saving up to 30%. At customer’s request control station of pump units can be complemented with remote monitoring and control unit.

Description of the development:

Control station system is based on relaycontact element base, programmed logical controller and high-accuracy pressure and flowing liquid level control devices. Control station consists of frequency converter or reduced-current start unit (at customer’s option) In case of complete set of control station with frequency converter constant given liquid level with minimal electric power consumption can be maintained in control system. Two operating modes of control system are provided: manual and automatic. For uniform application of each pump unit (in automatic mode with more than one pump unit) in-turn operation of pump units is provided. Control station has multistage start function in pump units operation, i.e. with the help of one frequency converter several pump units perform in-turn startup. After reducedcurrent start pump unit while running is placed by frequency converter in line supply mode. This function provides multistage start of pump units with capacity from 2.2kW to 75kW and cost saving on equipment. In manual and automatic operation control station provides the following types of protection for electric motor and pump unit: 1. protection against electric motor overload; 2. protection against short circuit; 3. protection against phase distortion; 4. protection against dry running.
