The composition of steel, microalloyed small additions of vanadium, and advanced technology of thermal hardening of the steel wheels that achieve high levels of hardness of the metal rim of the wheel, in combination with high viscosity characteristics. Tselnokatannye railway wheels of steel with micro vanadium, specially heat-hardened, have increased by 30% of the resources have a higher mileage before resharpening can be operated in the Far North. New production technology wheels mastered at Nizhnedneprovskiy pipe factory, and their tests confirmed the favorable combination of properties of the metal and increased resource produced route Rokovata-Uzhgorod-Kosice.
