INDUCTION CHANNEL FURNACE FOR COMBINED MELTING AND REFINING OF ALUMINIUM AllOYS
Purpose of the development:
Purpose and application: оn the basis of developed at the Institute of Electrodynamics electromagnetic equipment for melted metal rotation the new appliance was developed. It combines both technological melting processes and aluminium alloys refining.
Advantages over analogues:
Advantages: replacement of conventional gas furnaces by such ovens will give possibility of electric power consumption instead of expensive gas use. Besides that, in comparison with widely-used electric melting equipment, such furnaces allow to reduce specific
power consumption to 15-20 „{W/hour for 1 ton of metal, decrease metal losses nearly for 10 % and improve aluminium alloys quality owing to reduction of gas and solid nonmetallic impurities in their structure.
