FREQUENCY REGULATED MOTOR WITH PERMANENT MAGNETS FOR ELECTRICAL DRIVE OF THE HYDRODYNAMIC HEATER “THERMOGENERATOR”
Purpose of the development:
Frequency regulated motor is intended for application in electrical drive of the hydrodynamic heater “Thermogenerator” which is used for heating and hot water supply.
Technical characteristic:
Main technical characteristics of the electric motor
with permanent magnets:
Supply voltage (for current inverter), V......................220;
Supply frequency (for current inverter), Hz..................50;
Number of poles............................................................8;
Number of phases..........................................................3;
Weight of permanent magnets, kg..............................1.5;
Capacity, kW..................................................................4;
Rotation frequency, rev/min...............................100-3000;
Overall dimensions of electric motor:
Diameter, mm............................................................250;
Stator core length, mm..............................................100.
Advantages over analogues:
Liquid heating in the heater “Thermogenerator” results not from conversion of electrical energy into thermal energy but due to conversion of mechanical energy of flowing liquid (the piping effect is used) into thermal energy. The application of frequency regulated motor with permanent magnets in the heater “Thermogenerator” enables to perform
heating with regard to the environment temperature. The design consists of permanent magnets of NdFeB type. The electric motor stator has a traditional configuration with 48 chases. The rotor has eight permanent magnets with dimensions of 10*25*100 mm. Eight tree-cornered ferromagnetic concentrators are placed between magnets. Such electric motor has better dynamic and energy indices (high specific air gap torque and capacity, high energy efficiency rating), reduced levels of magnetic noise and vibrations and allows simplified production technology. The electric motor uses optic to electronics transducers in its structure which help to perform motor phase switching from current inverter.
