Purpose of the development: Purpose: It is intended for value measurement of air gap between stator and rotor in high-powered hydro- and turbogenerators.

Technical characteristic: technical characteristics • Measuring range dnom ±80%; dnom- < 30mm; • Measurement error not exceeding ± 1% from nominal gap; • Transducer is resistant to water, oil, solvents and acids.

Advantages over analogues: Advantages: • It differs from its analogues with higher metrological characteristics provided by strictly linear conversion function; • Method and device are patented in Ukraine; • Probable cost is 5-10 times lower if compared with foreign analogues.

Description of the development:

It can be used as a single device and as a part of control and diagnostics systems. It consists of initial converter (capacitance transducer), secondary converter and special connecting cable. Secondary converter consists of measuring results digital indicator which is designed as an individual unit.
