Advantages over analogues: Depending on the orientation of the rotation axis to the direction of flow there is a division in the horizontal and vertical wind turbines: vertical wind turbines have important advantages over generators with a horizontal axis. They can work even at low wind speeds, quickly gaining traction with increasing wind speed, easy to install. In addition, they feature low noise and high efficiency. Due to the peculiarities of the wind turbine with a vertical axis, it can be installed in areas with high turbulence and constantly changing wind speed. However, these generators have a higher price compared to the horizontal. Sale of a vertical axis wind turbine is now gaining momentum in view of environmental friendliness and reliability of renewable energy power systems, as well as ease of use and fast payback. This type of wind turbine is different silent operation and low starting speeds.
