On the surface of the electrodes, a special nanostructure, which causes a redistribution of the electron density needed to increase the energy of adsorption of cesium and a decrease in the work function. This increases the power density of the energy converter, the stability and reliability. The electrodes can be used: - In the autonomous power sources with high (50 W / cm sq.) Power density; - In the high-level power supply system of "Gaydeks" based on the series-connected thermionic and thermoelectric converters of solar energy into electrical energy in outer space; - For the direct conversion of heat energy into electrical energy, which is released when: - Chemical exothermic reactions; - Combustion of fossil fuels; - Radioactive decay.
