Grease separator provides initial treatment of wastewater, the main function is to separate oil from water. Grease trap can be used as a standalone unit or part of a treatment plant at the stage of pre-treatment. The uses of grease traps to prevent contamination of sewage systems, reduces harmful bacteria in the wastewater, as well as increases the efficiency of treatment processes and avoid many problems in the operation of sewage treatment plants. The temperature of wastewater entering to the grease trap should be no more than 40 ° C. The principle of operation is as follows: first, the first level of defense of the waste water is followed by settling of solids in the first compartment. Then the wastewater is directed into the second compartment grease trap, in which under the influence of gravity a division of waste water into layers occurs, with the result that the fat rises and accumulates on the surface. After that waste water from the grease trap is sent to the sewer system.
