TECHNOLOGY FOR PRODUCING COPPER ELECTROLYTIC MICRON


Purpose of the development: Preparation of sintered composite materials.

Recommended application field: Composite materials. Organic materials of natural origin.

Advantages over analogues: Copper powder, which is produced in small quantities in Ukraine does not meet modern requirements of promising industries. Thus, the electrolytic copper powders produced according to GOST 4960-75 larger than 20 microns. Establishing their own production of copper powders on the technology, which provides receiving, including the ultra-product (dispersion of up to 10 microns), will provide a competitive product on the world market and to saturate the domestic market of brand new material for the production of small parts, including the method of injection molding and other composite materials with high technological and mechanical properties is essential for the development of engineering and other industries. The novelty of the theoretical foundations of the laws make the process of electrolysis to produce micron copper with controlled properties, which will allow deliberately to get the copper powders in the desired size and shape of the particles. Patentnospromozhna technology, is currently a patent for a process of copper micron is pending.

The development stage readiness: Introduced in production

Technical and economic effect: Today, enterprises of Ukraine, in particular, the plant powder metallurgy, to import copper powders from Russia at a price of 14 USD (April 2008) per kilogram of powder. The need for Ukraine in the copper powder is about 10-15 tonnes / month. In the production of domestic copper powder will be excluded the cost of shipping and customs taxes, which will reduce the price of an average of 1-2 cu per kilo. Therefore, the expected economic impact could reach 20-30 thousand USD per month (USD 240-360 thousand per year).

Technology for producing electrolytic copper micron: based technology was the use of optimum conditions of electrolysis, and chemical composition of the electrolyte, which produces copper micron particle size to 10 - 20 mm and close to the globular form. This powder provides the ability to obtain composite materials with improved mechanical properties.
