These tools are most commonly used crystals having the shape of an octahedron. For the manufacture of special purpose tools are also used crystals triangular flat and elongated crystals. For all types of diamonds in a frame used diamonds weighing 0,02-2,10 carats. Diamonds are made in the frame holder with angles of 90 °. - Straightening laps shaped profile, and 120 degrees. - Straightening circles straight profile. Depending on the shape of the diamonds in the tool holder rims are made of four types: cylindrical, cylindrical with a head tapered and threaded. Most of the diamonds produced in the frame in accordance with GOST 22908-78.
