Purpose of the development: It is intended for to make better environmental management decisions.

Technical characteristic: The basis of the development - the thematic computer processing of multispectral satellite images of scanning systems such as the Meteor-3M satellite, Landsat-7 ETM + Terra (Aster). For the preliminary computer processing is used specialized software ScanEx Image Processor (Russia). For thematic processing and interpretation of multispectral scanner images, specialized packages ERDAS Imagine, ENVI. To map the reclaimed areas and develop a system to assess their state of the software is used ArcView (ArcGIS). Goal is to get satellite images BKSDZ Belka.

Technology-based assessment at different times received space-ground data sample comprises the following steps: - receiving and preliminary processing of space imagery, including radiometric and geometric correction, - selection and laying of the standard-gauge stations, creating a reference database on reclaimed areas, and its link with equalized satellite imagery, - he development of principles and methods of interpretation of reclaimed areas; - building layout maps pre-state and dynamics of transformation of the reclaimed areas. At the final stage of the research is planned to develop an automated assessment technology and unique floodplain forest-swamp landscapes based on the operational space for receiving and processing the information obtained by various satellites, including BKSDZ, and sample surface data. The resulting information will allow the space to assess the status and dynamics of transformation of the reclaimed area average of Pripyat.
