Purpose of the development: Improving the environment, biodiversity and the reduction of marsh fire danger in the region.

Advantages over analogues: Restoration of peat accumulation processes, energy, water and nutrients to the peat bog, marsh habitat and biodiversity. Reproduction of wetland and waterbird species of plants and animals. Recovery and forage areas for migratory birds, marsh landscapes. The territory is practically not exposed to fire. Recovered from the purification processes of the biosphere of nutrients, including wetlands function to clean up the atmosphere of excess carbon dioxide and enrich it with oxygen, water regulation function is restored wetlands. Rehabilitated wetlands maintain water regime on its own and adjacent territories. Residual layers of peat deposits and vegetation - a geochemical barrier to the migration of chemical elements. As the growth of new layers of peat, this function is increasing. Re-flooded residual layers of peat deposits having a good warm, soothing to the restored wetlands and adjacent areas of atmospheric effects of drought and frost.

Thanks to the taken measures the rise of the groundwater level by building a series of platinum (jumpers) on the release of water channels is exercised. The water level should be at or above its surface to 5-30 cm. Ratio of height and length of built jumper of peat or mineral soil should be 1:5. Development implemented by 24 thousand hectares.
