DEVICE FOR MEASURING THE SPEED OF SOUND IN FLUIDS
Purpose of the development:
The invention concerns to the field of measurements and, in particular, can be used to measure speed of sound propagation in liquids.
Recommended application field:
Instrumentation, measurement of the speed of sound in liquids.
Technical characteristic:
Execution of two working functions of a sound signals transmitter and receiver by one plate-like piezoelectric element allows to decrease probability of errors introduction in the measuring device design.
The development stage readiness:
tested in laboratory condition
Technical and economic effect:
Reflective heads located on both sides of the measuring device laying on an cover's axis passing through their centers provide high precision of propagation direction and sound signals received and reflected, exclude the possibility of partial absorption of sound signals. As a result, it increases measurement accuracy of up to 0,03 %.
