The object is ashless borfzot-sulfur-containing additive for lubricating oils, which is esterified alkyl phenol Mannich base of boric acid. Used for the synthesis of alkyl phenol, formaldehyde, thiourea, and boric acid. The additive has the same functional properties as the metal dithiophosphates, but has a higher thermal-oxidative stability, the absence of ash, low-waste, environmentally friendly technology of production, there is an available source of raw materials for its manufacture.
