Purpose of the development: Designed for use as adsorbents, filter media, dipole protivolokatsionnogo reflection means to actively suppress radio frequency precision polishing of soft (e.g. optical fibers), and others.

Recommended application field: Radio engineering, mechanical engineering, environment, instrumentation.

Advantages over analogues: Greater uniformity in structure and properties.

Description of the development:

The technology of compaction of diamond nanopowders, developed by ISM. For sintering preparing purified from impurities diamond powder. Used pressure washer. The sintering process is carried out at high temperature and pressure in the diamond stability field. Obtained in the form of discs 22 mm in diameter and a height of about 10 mm durable compacts dark gray having a density of about 70% of the theoretical density of the diamond. Crushing compacts produces various micron grit, the particle density of not less than 3 g / cm3. As a result of electron microscopic studies revealed that the sintering process is accompanied by the recrystallization of nanoparticles with the size of candy bars with 10-100 A (starting diamond powder) to 30-200 A (powder sintering). Ready powder (after crushing the cake, more himochistki and classification of the product) is a mass of rounded particles with a well-developed surface relief. With the use of polycrystalline diamond micropowder developed stable aqueous or oil suspension with a uniform distribution of solid particles. The surface roughness of the material samples during processing micropowder can be reduced to 1-2 nm. Application of the powders especially effective in polishing precision mirror surfaces manufactured of hard and very hard materials.
