TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

PRODUCTION OF FODDER ADDITIVES BASED ON LARVA OF MUSCA DOMESTICA (HOUSE FLY) INSECT


Description of the development:

The project stipulates for production of 1 ton living Musca domestica (gentle) and mixed fodders with additives of larva (1-1,5 % weight) in volume of 10 tons per month. Insects of Musca domestica kind and their larva contain 43-45 % of protein, 14-15 % of fats, 13 amino acids, including 6 essential ones (lysine, threonine, methionine, leucine, arginine, valine, tyrosine). Quantity of cystine does not practically change and that of histidine decreases during insect's development in 1-2 instars. Quantity of 9 amino acids, including 4 essential (arginine, methionine, valine, phenylalaline), is increased, but that of threonine is reduced by 1-3 instars. Quantity of 7 amino acids, including 5 essential ones (lysine, methionine, valine, phenylalaline, arginine) decreases; but that of 3 amino acids (there are no essential ones among them) increases at development from 3d instars to a chrysalis. Working area not less than 100 square meters is needed to produce living Musca domestica larve. Realization of the project will allow at addition of the products in fodder of animals, birds and fishes to increase intensity of their growth and also the value of finished products. Issues of ecology and environment improvement are also solved at creation of fodder additives production. Manufacture of natural, nonpolluting forages and additives is created. There is also opportunity to get profit from high-technological clean and competitive products. The technology allows to organize production in small and large agricultural enterprises with different production capacity.
