TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

IMPRESSIBLE MINI HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT OF A NEW DESIGN


Purpose of the development: Transformation of energy of aquatic stream to electric.

Recommended application field: A device can be effectively exploited on the different depths of reservoirs in the wide range of pressures and speeds of flow, including small. Does not require creation of the special hydrotechnical building (water intakes, weirs). In the submerged state provides noiseless office hours, does not interfere with motion of courts and other floating facilities. Unlike other types миниГЭС can function under ice, saving a capacity in a winter period of time. The feature of construction of device allows to produce the stage-by-stage increase of his power due to setting of additional working elements - blades. (At average speed of the rivers 5 км/час with 1 м2 of surface of working blade is produced about 1 kW/o'clock of electric power). Along with making of electric power a device can be used as a mechanical drive of different aggregates, for example pumps, compressors.

Advantages over analogues: The product is characterized by low level of capital and operational expenses. In a disassembled state it has small mass-dimensions characteristics. It is easily transportable. Installation is carried out in shortest terms using of standard tools. High design reliability provides a long term of the equipment operation. Practically no preventive maintenance service is required. Along with electricity generation, the device can be used as a mechanical drive of various facilities, for example pumps, compressors.

The operation principle of the device consists in transfer of energy of a moving water stream or any other media through blades and an infinite flexible cable (chain) covering pulleys to the shaft for subsequent electric energy generation. The blades have two folds. When moving along the stream flow, under its pressure they spontaneously open, providing the greatest possible area of working surface (windage) , and at reverse (against the stream) movement—also spontaneously fold creating minimal resistance to the stream, including curvilinear areas. The device can be effectively operated at various depths of reservoirs in a broad range of pressures and flows speeds, including midget. Does not demand creation of special hydraulic engineering constructions (water-fences, dams). In the submerged condition provides a silent operating mode, does not prevent vessels and other floating means movement. In contrast to other types of mini hydroelectric power plants, it can function under ice, thus remaining in service during the winter period of time. The design peculiarity of the device allows to perform stage-by-stage build-up of its capacity due to installation of additional working elements—blades. (At average rivers flow speed of 5 km/hour, 1 m2 of a working blade surface generates about 1 kW/hour of electricity). A number of patents of the Russian Federation have been taken out.
