AIR COOLING MACHINE


Purpose of the development: Simultaneous direct obtaining in one installation of cold and warm aerial streams as a result of compression and decompression of free air of room temperature. It is effective for application in alimentary and fish industries, for air purification of harmful gas fumes, for waste-processing of tires and rubber products, cooling of the casing-head gas or natural gas, for conditioning systems in premises with risks of explosion and fire.

Recommended application field: Refrigeration engineer.

Advantages over analogues: ACM has the following main distinctive features compared with the traditionally used cooling systems based on steam-compression installations and liquid nitrogen: The same medium - free air is used as a coolant and cold-carrier; The process of cooling of an object is carried out in direct contact with a coolant; Broad range of obtained low temperatures 0 - 180d. С Simultaneous obtaining of a cold and a warm airflows; Possibility of implementation of a flexible process of cooling, including high-speed cooling; Small mass and size characteristics; Possibility of long continuous operation; Explosion- and fire safety; Does not require lubrication and oil. As far as energy consumption is concerned ACM is economically more efficient than steam-compression installations for cooling air below temperature -30d. С. A new product with improved consumer properties and technical and economic indexes, and broad functional capabilities. It has good prospects for entering the market. The design of ACM contains considerable volume of know-how.

The air cooling machine (ACM) is a small air-driven turbine installed on one shaft with a braking ventilator. The air is cooled due to its expansion in the turbine. Through a piping system the cold air is supplied to consumers. Some of the air, sent to the turbine, is directed to gaseous bearings, on which the shaft is spun. The air drained up to the dew point of -40d. С and cleared of hard particles over 15 microns is supplied from the pneumoweb. The working pressure in the pneumoweb is 4 atm. The braking ventilator ensures intake of free air, its compression, heating and feeding for the further usage. A small-batch production of ACM with cooling capacity of 0.5/30 kW has been mastered. Preparation is going on for production of ACM with cooling capacity up to 200 kW.
