RADIATION RESISTANT CEMENTS
Purpose of the development:
Designed for the construction of biological protection from the effects of hard radiation in the operation of nuclear facilities.
Recommended application field:
Nuclear power
Advantages over analogues:
In contrast to the materials which are currently used provided cements can be utilized in a simultaneous exposure to gamma-radiation and high temperatures, thus ensuring stability of the complex manufacturing systems. The layer thickness of the half-attenuation of ionizing radiation may be reduced by 1.5-2 times.

Description of the development:
() These materials are characterized by high strength (50-60 MPa after 3 days of curing), enhanced barrier properties (mass ratio of the absorption of gamma rays 250-280, macroscopic section of capture of thermal neurons to 2 orders of magnitude higher than the similar characteristics of conventional cementitious materials protection), temperature operation up to 2000 S. Industrial production developed materials can be arranged in existing plants and refractory cement industry without additional investment.
