Purpose of the development: Quick determination of temperatures of motor oils going turbid and congelated, start of crystallization and congelation of diesel fuels, including those with depressive additives (these parameters are critical during equipment operation and for provision of uninterrupted fuel feeding into the engine at low temperatures).

Recommended application field: control of products quality at petroleum-refining enterprises and petroleum products bases; incoming and current inspection of motor fuels at consumer-enterprises; investigation of petroleum products in analytical laboratories.

Advantages over analogues: The device is on a par with known foreign and domestic analogues by technical capabilities with mass-dimension characteristics and consumed power lower.

The operation principle of the device is registration of change in intensity of optical radiation passing through a vessel with the petroleum product under investigation in the course of its cooling, and change in the amplitude of an immersed vibration probe oscillations. Measurement automatic mode and possibility of communication with an external computer are provided for by a built-in microprocessor system. The RF patent has been taken out. Certificate of confirmation of a measurement means type RU.C.31.092.A №19017 of 18 November 2004 is available, it is entered in the State Register of Measurement Means numbered № 27969-04 and permitted to be used in the RF. Small-batch production has been mastered.
