CATHODE-LUMINESCENT LIGHT SOURCES WITH CATHODES FROM NANOCLUSTER MATERIALS
Purpose of the development:
These high-performance ecologically clean (full absence of mercury and other harmful substances) sources of light on the basis of the effect of field electron emission from polycrystallic and powder destructured carbon materials, can be applied in devices of emergency lighting, transport, multicolor advertisement boards and aviation.
Recommended application field:
Тransport, multicolor advertisement boards and aviation.
Technical characteristic:
The light sources are "cold" in principle and can operate at any low temperatures. They are characterized by longevity (not less than 10000 hours) and relative economy (light yield reaches 50 Lm/W)
Advantages over analogues:
Ecological acceptability, high relative economy and longevity
Wide range of realized colours and working temperatures
Stability to vibrations and resistance to voltage fluctuations
Inenertialessness (the cathode switch-on time is not more than 10-8 sec)
A principally new kind of a lighting instrument has been created. The design of the main element - multi-tip field electron emission cathode is based on considerable volume of "know-how".
The development stage readiness:
Tested experimental exploitation order
Description of the development:
() The light sources consist of an electron source - a field electron emission cathode from materials with a structure formed in a special pattern and fluorescent screen - an anode from a transparent conducting coating applied on the inner surface of a glass bulb and a phosphor layer.
In the conditions of good commercial vacuum electrons emitted by the cathode are accelerated in the "cathode - anode" space and bombard the phosphor, energizing its luminescence.
Patents of the Russian Federation have been obtained for the design and material of the field electron emission cathode
