Purpose of the development: The shutoff serves to cut off a productive stratum from injection and producing wells for the period of repair works.

Recommended application field: Geology.

Advantages over analogues: The design simplicity, reliability, and safety enable to lower practically any devices into the well, as well as to flush the bottomhole.

Description of the development:

The shutoff consists of a case with a seat, in cross recess of which a lock with brackets is mounted. Fastened on the brackets, the pins interact with transverse and longitudial cuts in the case. The pin located in the longitudial cut interacts with the spring through a jaw. Thread on the case serves to connect a packer-sleeve to the barrel. The shutoff, normally closed by the spring, is opened by means of a pusher mounted on underside end of a nipple, lowered on the tubing (NKT) pipe. The pusher bears against the spherical bottom of the lock and moves it down. At that, the pins, interacting with their cuts, turn the lock through 90? angle. The pusher enters the lock opening and fastens it, preventing shutting. When the tubing (NKT) pipe (and the pusher respectively) is pulling, the lock is returned to the initial position by the spring, and the shutoff is closed. The pusher length is calculated so that: a) when the shutoff is being opened, the nipple gaskets will enter the barrel of the packer-sleeve before the pusher touches the lock; b) when tubing (NKT) is taken, the gaskets will go out of the barrel only after the shutoff is closed. This excludes fluid leakage from the underpacker space into the borehole cavity in transient moments. The RF patent № 2094593 has been taken out. The small-batch manufacturing has been organized.
