TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

HIGH-STRENGTH ELECTROCONDUCTIVE MICROCOMPOSITION Cu-Nb CONDUCTORS


Purpose of the development: Magnet wires for magnets and electrotechnical devices for different purposes, in particular for impulse magnets with extremely high properties, solenoids for devices of magnetic-impulse extrusion, etc. The material is also promising for manufacture of portative electronic devices.

Recommended application field: Different areas of national economy.

Advantages over analogues: As compared with similar products of Superkon (USA), Shova and NGK (Japan), the products manufactured from the proposed material (wire with section up to 24 мм2 and microwire for electronic engineering with diameter of 0.2-0.3 mm, ribbons, sheets with width less than 0.1 mm) have higher mechanical performances, better conductivity (two times) and lower cost.

A new class of high-strength electroconductive composite nano-structural material has been developed on the basis of Cu-Nb, Cu-Nb-x (х - Zr, Hf, Mn) systems for impulse magnets with an extremely high level of a magnetic field (70-100 T) and other electrotechnical devices for a hard external environment. Samples were obtained of long-sized conductors with cross sectional area 0.05 - 25 мм2, breaking point 1100 - 1300 MPа, elastic limit 1000 - 1200 МPа. Conductance - at the level of 50-70% of a similar index for pure copper. Patents of Russian Federation №2051432 of 14.01.93 and №2074424 of 27.02.97 have been obtained.
