THERMAL-PROTECTIVE MATERIAL
Purpose of the development:
Energy conserving protective coating
Recommended application field:
Building, energy, communal economy.
Advantages over analogues:
By thermal-protective and service characteristics the coating is quite similar to such imported thermal-protective coatings as Thermal-Coat and Thermo-Shield, with the cost 2–3 times lower.
The results of tests showed 20–30 % economy of heat power when a 3–4.5 mm thick coating is applied on a pipe with a heat-carrier.
The development stage readiness:
Tested experimental exploitation order
Description of the development:
() Energy conserving protective coatings have low thermal conductivity and are promising for thermal insulation of living premises and utility rooms, power installations and refrigerating units, heating mains, etc.
The thermal conductivity coefficient of the materials varies with the composition from 0.065 up to 0.130 W/mK, thermal resistance—from 0.06 up to 0.08 W/m2 with the samples thickness 3–4.5 mm.
High thermal-protective characteristics are achieved through using special fillers with a great number of closed pores formed in the matter of the material. All the kinds of thermal-protective materials have good adhesion to the surfaces protected and metal structures. The materials can come as different modifications, i.e. paints, plasters, mastics.
