Advantages over analogues: The filter has a simple reliable design. As compared with cartridge filtering systems the spring filter ensures: high degree of water (also hot) purification from mechanical impurities, a practically unlimited service life with replacement of the faltering element, ease of the filtering element regeneration, low operational costs and lower price. As compared with ceramic filters, for example, by RPC Zvezda (Russia), the spring ones feature higher capacity with cost lower.

There have developed filtering elements of an original design made as compactly coil springs from stainless with a washed- in subsidiary filtering layer of perlite. The filtering elements are installed in a metal or plastic case. The filter with a washed-in layer can trap particles with linear sizes more than 1 mcm and possesses sorption properties as related to organic admixtures. The filtering element regeneration is performed by reverse water flow that stretches spring coils from inside and thus provides for destruction and remove of the layer of mechanical particles precipitated on the outer side of the filtering spring coil. Facilities with different capacities can be built using the filtering elements. The Spring filter design is protected by RF patents # 2077923, # 2077925 of 29.12.1992.
