TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

HIGHLY-EFFICIENT WET POLYMERIC ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATORS


Purpose of the development: Clearing of non-explosive and non-combustible aggressive gases from sulfuric acid, sulfur, arsenic oxides, selenium, sublimated heavy non-ferrous metals and fluorine compounds in a finely dispersed or aerosolic state.

Recommended application field: The electrostatic precipitators are promising for use in oil refining and chemical industries, non-ferrous metallurgy and for production of mineral fertilizers. The electrostatic precipitators have been put in operation and are efficiently used in a number of enterprises of petrochemical and metallurgical industries in Russia.

Advantages over analogues: Degree of cleaning not less than 99 %; Ability to trap finely dispersed dusts and aerosols; High suitability for overhaul and short time of replacing the polymeric elements of the construction; Low weight of the equipment; Simplicity and ease of assembly; Low cost of production and operational expenditure; High resistance of the material to an aggressive medium.

A special composition polymer material has been developed, which has electric conductivity practically equal to that of metals. The collecting and corona-forming electrodes from this material ensure high reliability of the precipitators' operation even with no liquid film forming on the collecting electrodes' surface, with slime formation excluded, which allows to fivefold increase the corona current density as compared with known analogs. The electrostatic precipitators have an original modular design incorporating collecting and corona-forming electrodes consisting of separate easily replaceable elements of different shapes and configuration. The electrostatic precipitators are considerably cheaper than their Lurgi analog with comparable engineering parameters. More than 40 Russian and foreign patents have been obtained for the composition of the material and design of the precipitators.
