RADON RADIOMETR
Purpose of the development:
The radiometer is designed for rapid measuring of radon-222 volume activity in the atmosphere, water and presoil air and also for measuring (with POU-4 sampling device attachment) of density of radon flux from the soil. The instrument is effective both in laboratory and for integrated sanitation inspection of territories and rooms (basements, building ground floors and the like.
Recommended application field:
Different industries of national economy.
Advantages over analogues:
As compared with analogs, for example, from Silena (Italy), Victoreen (the USA), Gammadata (Sweden) and Genitron Instr. (Germany) companies the radiometer is distinguished by enhanced functionality, reduced weight and overall dimensions, improved design and low cost.
In conjunction with POU-4 device the radiometer enables to determine radon-222 volume activity in various environments at high humidity or low temperature; to execute fast air sampling into samplers when conducting mass measurements with subsequent determination of radon-222 volume activity in stationary conditions.
The development stage readiness:
Introduced in production
Description of the development:
() The instrument is supplied with a built-in microprocessor which enables to output direct readings absolute values and metering errors to a LC indicator; a filter for air purification from aerosols solid disperse phase and from excess moisture; a built-in automated air sampling device which provides 1.0-0.2 l/min volume flow; a flexible film keyboard on the faceplate.
The radiometer executes selftesting with visual and sound fault signaling; automated registration of measuring chamber background; forecasting of result 3 minutes after the measuring starts, with refinement done every other minute. Spectrometric information can be output to a multichannel analyzer. Radon volume activity measuring range is 20 20000 Bc/m3, basic error is 20%, single measurement duration is 3/20 min; continuance of continuous running with supply by accumulators - 15 h.
The instrument's design includes a lot of know-how.
It is included in the State Instrumentation Register.
