INSTALLATION FOR THERMOCHEMICAL PROCESSING OF INDUSTRIAL WASTES


Purpose of the development: Processing of a wide range of liquid and gaseous industrial wastes by their oxydation, thermal decomposing and other chemical transformations in a high-temperature stream of combustion products.

Recommended application field: The installation is very promising for oil refining, petrochemical, metallurgical and machine-building industries, timber-chemical and power enterprises.

Technical characteristic: Trials of the installation for utilization of liquid wastes containing acetone, silicone-organic enamels, industrial oils, lubricating-cooling liquid, water and other components have produced the following results: the off-gases contained: NO2 - 0.80 mg/m3; SO2 - 1.50 mg/m3; CO - 7.5 mg/m3.

Advantages over analogues: As compared with analogs - cyclone reactors of Yamato Sanco (Japan) and BASF AG (Germany) - this installation ensures presence of wastes during a set time in the combustion zone at temperature 2000°С, which allows to practically completely destroy organic compounds and to reduce considerably the content of nitric oxides, carbon oxide and the remaining hydrocarbons. A new kind of product with improved technical and economic characteristics and broader technological possibilities. It has good prospects for entering market.

Description of the development:

The installation consists of a thermochemical reactor, system of low and middle pressure air-supply, and a hydraulic waste feeding system. The main technological parameters, start-up and stabilization of the combustion regime are automatically controlled. A distinctive feature of the installation is availability of one-, two- or three-stage combustion chambers of a rotational reverse-flow type. Unique properties of strongly twisted rotational reverse-flow streams of a combustion-mixture and combustion products allow to make combustion chambers completely without holes (tubular construction) or fractionally without holes (ring construction) for convective-film cooling of walls and heat input of air in the lateral area of a heat tube. The installation is reliable, has simple design and small mass-size parameters. Depending on a kind of waste the productivity of the installation is 0.005 0.5 kg/sec, the content of combustible components in the mixture is no more than 40%, air-surplus coefficient - 1.05 10.0, the completeness of combustion is not lower than 95%. Temperature of the exhausted gas - 800-2000°К. The patents № 1726917 of 16.03, 1993; № 2196940 of 20.01, 2003, of the Russian Federation have been obtained. Application for patent № 2002125477 of 09.2002 of the Russian Federation has been submitted.
