Purpose of the development: For use in industry, energy, medicine, environmental protection, agriculture, utilities and other spheres of human activity, for use in the optical industry for the manufacture of telescope mirrors. The mirror is made of two materials with a similar coefficient of linear expansion: SiC (lower part) N: glass-ceramic (upper structural layer optical).

Technical characteristic: - Mirror diameter of 150 mm and thickness 30 mm; - The quality of optical surfaces - N = 1 ? 3, ?N = 5, Rz = 0.05 ? 0.025.

Advantages over analogues: - High-quality optical surface; - Organic production methods; - The possibility of manufacturing large-sized lightweight mirrors; - Ease of production due to the possibility of using the traditional optical manufacturing equipment; - Relatively low cost compared with analogues, because the method of powder metallurgy to produce a mirror basis is used.
