Purpose of the development: Designed to remove unwanted impurities from the liquid and / or gaseous medium, in the process of purification, separation and concentration of components in gaseous and liquid media in addressing environmental problems in medicine and pharmacy, as hemosorbents and chelators.

Recommended application field: Can be used for drinking water, wastewater, gas emissions in the chemical, medical, electrical, military, hydrometallurgical and other industries.

Technical characteristic: The sorption capacity of benzene in the range from 1.2 to 2.4 cm3 / g The degree of ablation of activated polymer fibers ranging from 50 to 70%. The material contains a polymer fiber with a surface density of 50-180 g/m2, such as cellulose or polyacrylonitrile, and carbon fibers with a diameter 0.09 - 11.0 mm, characterized by a distribution of values ??of the size of the pore diameter size of preferably 15 - 210 Angstroms and the value of specific surface area after activation 2500 - 3000 m2 / h

Advantages over analogues: Technical shortcomings of known activated carbon materials is relatively low sorption capacity (ie the maximum possible amount of adsorbed impurities), and lack of depth of treatment (ie, the completeness of removal of unwanted impurities), which limits the possibility of obtaining high-purity substances and materials. Distinctive features of cos, coupled with the material used and developed modes of device activation process can reach the necessary values ??of sorption capacity for benzene that exceed the similar values ??of known sorption-active carbon materials with a technically permissible degree of ablation of activated polymer fibers.
