Advantages over analogues: The development is good enough differentiated by the chemical content of hydrogel layer and its natural cotton basis. The fixation of hydrogel onto the cotton textile surface allows: a) to improve physical and mechanical properties of hydrogel; b) to ease the usage of hydrogel material; c) to create hydrogel patches for individual use.

Technical and economic effect: Advantage of hydrogel composite materials, in comparing with the older surface-active preparation - cr?mes, lotions, liniments, is their versatility and broad activity spectrum. While employed, these materials create shielding barrier, which prevents contamination and infection propagation.

Description of the development:

The technology of the covalent fixation of polymeric hydrogel scaffold onto the cotton textile surface was developed. The fixed hedrogel layer is the complex of natural and synthetic polymers - chitosan, which is hemo-, bio-compatible and non-toxic with distinct absorbing properties. Obtained hedrogel dressing (masks, patches) can be useful as carriers for bio-active substances, medicaments, thus applies in cosmetology for skin care and in medical practice for skin pathologies prevention and treatment. Hydrogels, fixed onto the cotton textile surface can be loaded with needed substances - drugs, vitamins, protein hydrolysates, AHA-acids and other bio-active substances.
