NEW ADSORBENT FOR REMOVAL OF OIL AND OIL PRODUCTS FROM WATER OR SOIL

Purpose of the development: Removal of oil and oil products in drinking water, wastewater, soil, heat and sound insulation in the construction industry, the filtration of air and gases.

Recommended application field: Prevention and eliminating consequences of environmental disasters, filling filter drinking water and wastewater, gas and air. Insulating material and concrete components to reduce the level of radioactivity in civil engineering. Heat and deafening, as well as fire-fighting tool. Production of heat-sealing, flame-retardant products and insulation and electrochemistry. The adsorbent retains moisture in the soil, loosens the soil and reduces evaporation of water from it, thereby reducing the need to water.

Advantages over analogues: In addition to the above positive properties of the sorbent can be reused, the adsorbed substances can be extracted from pressing or by centrifugal force for future use.

The development stage readiness: Pre-production model is made

Technical and economic effect: Product directly and efficiently absorbs and toxic chemicals, mostly acids and alcohols. Adsorbs as heavy metals and oils from the water, noxious gases and pollen from the air.

Description of the development:
()
Highly efficient adsorbent produced in the EU. Color: gray, almost black. It produced depending on the application in the form of flakes, extruded profile or pillows in different sizes. It is made from graphite using physical-chemical treatment methods. Has the same composition as the starting material (pure carbon). Its hydrophobic surface has the ability to absorb oil and petroleum products which do not dissolve in water and remain on the surface or in soil. The adsorbent is biologically and chemically neutral and does not create any harm. It has good thermal and insulating properties, high fire resistance (short-term impact - 1200 C, long-term impact - 800 C), as well as extremely low bulk density. Sublimation begins only above 3000 C.
