Purpose of the development: Experimental laboratory tests and training.

Recommended application field: Research and testing advanced control algorithms to support the practical training sessions for the course "Analysis and design of process control" in the universities and laboratories.

Advantages over analogues: The main advantage of the laboratory system - to provide an initial practical experience on creation of control algorithms, as well as reducing the time for testing before their introduction into an industrial process. The main market - universities and research laboratories.

The development stage readiness: Pre-production model is made

Technical and economic effect: The system allows to acquire initial experience with fine-tuning the parameters of the algorithms. In addition, it helps to overcome the disadvantages associated with the lack of sensitivity of the mathematical theories to solve some problems of control. From hydropower system can reduce the cost to conduct experiments on real industrial units, makes it possible to test the algorithms under various extreme conditions.

Description of the development:

Hydroelectric power station, developed by the Slovak University, is a portable physical model of HPS, which includes a water reservoir with pump power. It can be used in research and testing new control algorithms before their implementation in a real industrial complex. The system can be used for practical training sessions for the course "Analysis and design of process control." The system allows to model processes with one input and one output, as well as many outputs with a variable time delay. It is important to take some measures for the successful implementation of control algorithms in real conditions.
