IMPROVING OF PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS EDUCATION GRADIENT AND FINE STRUCTURE NANO COLD PLASTIC DEFORMATION

Advantages over analogues: The main advantages of the new technology of surface hardening gradient are as follows: - Cost of driveshafts reduced by approximately 1.5-fold compared with the cost of drive shafts (approximately 6,000 USD), which are manufactured in the company Ganz MAVAG-Budapest (Hungary), as well as increase the life of forecasted a 1.2-fold compared with the resource imported trees, which is 10 years of normal use. - Mastering the developed experimental-industrial technology will save jobs in enterprises engaged in production of or repair of railway and road transport, as well as improve the technical condition of transport and its safety.

The development stage readiness: tested in laboratory condition

Technical and economic effect: The novelty of this technology is the presence of components of displacement during the deformation of both external and internal surfaces of parts made of structural materials. Through the development is: the use of a gradient of surface hardening, as an alternative to chemical and thermal treatment to improve physical, mechanical and performance properties of different types of slots; replacement of the cutting operations, pulling cold plastic deformation, which will be used for forming the surface and create a gradient of surface hardening; improving the life of the splines used in rail, air transport and agricultural machinery.

Description of the development:

The formation of the gradient of the surface structure of the balls of metal alloys opens up access to the structural provisions and, accordingly, the functional characteristics are not available for materials with conventional equilibrium structure. The main way the gradient nano-structured surfaces - an intensive introduction of energy by severe plastic deformation. Physical mechanisms of mass transport, power generation and mobility of defects, grain refinement and formation of new grain boundaries in these conditions is practically unknown. Virtually no information on relaxation processes in the structures formed in the extreme conditions of plastic deformation. Not investigated the thermal stability of the gradient structures in structural alloys, and the evolution of internal stresses in these systems over time. Controlled processes of nano-structured gradient layers will provide marginal strengthening of the structural state
