Purpose of the development: Technology of production of nanostructured hybrid ceramic and polymeric membranes for water treating for different purposes and seawater desalination.

Recommended application field: Water treatment plant (Water channel) for almost all cities in the country. Process water purification companies, desalination of sea water station in the southern regions of Ukraine.

The development stage readiness: The working documentation is developed

Technical and economic effect: The market is now working in 17 countries who are developing the second generation of the membrane (U.S., UK, Japan, South Korea, Germany). Release of these products is approaching 1 billion dollars. In 2012 the market will be nanofiltration 350 million dollars and by 2015 will be 1.07 billion dollars. In 2015 it is expected that the technology market desalting sea water will be 5.5 billion dollars.

Description of the development:

The production combines the production of polymer films, their catalytic functionalization of various components of ceramic membranes, slides of nanosized oxide powders and their further functionalization and assembly of the stack with a polymeric film-membranes.
