MATHEMATICAL ALGORITHMS AND SOFTWARE FOR 3D VISUALIZATION OF STATIC AND DYNAMIC GEOLOGICAL MODELS
Recommended application field:
Environmental monitoring, geo-ecological and/or geologic simulation, oil-recovery process simulation. Any systems requiring graphic visualization.
Technical characteristic:
The designed software operates in OS Windows with available OpenGL library units. Large-block and mesh patterns can be used for visualization. In large-block patterns, the typical number of blocks is several tens of thousands with the number of layers of from 5 to 20. In net patterns, the number of points on each of the layers is from 10000 to 100000 at the same number of layers. There are no actual restrictions to the information content being processed because in the case of RAM insufficiency the rendering process is performed with data pumping from external devices.
Advantages over analogues:
Possibility to store the obtained images in the form of separate frames or video sequences with their recording to any standard graphics, media-formats. Interactive and batch processing models.

() To provide designing and monitoring of the development, mathematical algorithms and software have been created for 3D visualization of static and dynamic geological models of oil-bearing beds. The produced software complex ensures visualization of objects representing a three-dimensional body that consists of layers.
