DEFLECTED-MODE MONITORING SYSTEM FOR MAIN PIPELINES AND VESSELS UNDER PRESSURE
Purpose of the development:
The system is designed for recording, collection, transmission, real-time indication and storage of multisensory data about operating changes in local strain and stress in parts of vessels under pressure, loaded metalwork of gas-compression stations and main pipelines, as well as in other structures.
Recommended application field:
Diagnostics and monitoring of the condition of vessels under pressure, loaded metalwork of gas-compression stations and main pipelines, as well as other critical-purpose structures.

-measured deformation range: from -10 in -3 degree to 1,5x10 in -3 degree

Description of the development:
() The system consists of remote strain (displacement) gauges, interface block, hand-held controller, and end terminal. The original strain sensors are based on the principle of change in natural oscillations of a string depending on the value of its tension. Via a communication line, the interface block controls data reading from a group of sensors and data transmission to a control terminal. Data on local strain in locations of installing the sensors in transmitted from a group of interface blocks positioned in control-measuring columns to the control terminal where the data is analyzed. The data received at the terminal indicates a possibility of critical deformation and stress resulting from soil shearing, corrosive metal loss, inadmissible cracking, peak overloading, ect.
