"VLAGA-1" MOISTURE CONTROL DEVICE
Purpose of the development:
To control the presence of moisture in interior structures of aircraft radar domes; the moisture control of wood, loose materials, grain, etc.

Advantages over analogues:
The device corresponds in its sensitivity to best world analogues. Moisture is detected, also in hidden cavities, through a dielectric layer. Sound warning indicates excessive moisture content.

Description of the development:
() The moisture sensor positioned in the front part of an electronic unit is mounted with its end face onto an object being controlled. A microcontroller of the electronic unit converts the measured signals, compares them to operator-entered values of minimal and maximal reject limit, and displays the results on a matrix LCD. The "VLAGA-1" device is comprised of the electronic unit made in the form of a pistol, and a power unit, both units cable-connected. It detects at least 10 percent by volume of moisture in three adjoining dome cells. Under power-off conditions, the device can input and store the following parameters: minimal and maximal reject limits and start readout value. It operates in continuous and single measurement modes and automatically informs the operator about whether the measured value is within or beyond the reject limits.
