Purpose of the development: The converters carry out parallel data processing and conversion without the use of electronic scanning and cooling systems; pyroelectrics are IR-radiation resistant.

Recommended application field: Power engineering and nondestructive control equipment for temperature-contrast image viewing; IR-laser mode structure diagnostics.

The image converters based on pyroelectric-liquid crystal structure provide parallel data processing and conversion without the use of electronic scanning and colling systems. These devises may be applied for image visualization in longer wavelength section of the spectrum - in submillimitric range (for 300-400 um and more).
