AEROSOL TECHNOLOGY FOR EPITAXY FROM MELLO-ORGANIC COMPOUNDS

Purpose of the development: Preparation of epitaxial films, superlattices and nanocomposites based on transition metal oxides - manganite (La0.67 Ca0.33 MnO3) and titanates (BaTiO3), as well as simple oxides: MgO and ZnO. Design on the monatomic level allows you to design a material with improved parameters (temperature above room temperature), as well as a new artificial materials with functionality (multiferroics).

Recommended application field: Magnetic sensors, memory elements and sensors for uncooled infrared bolometer.

Advantages over analogues: The main advantages of this technique compared with conventional epitaxy of oxides by physical methods: -easy to change the composition of the films by varying the composition of precursor -a high partial pressure of the oxidant (1 atm) -the use of large area substrates needed for production.

The development stage readiness: Pre-production model is made

Description of the development:
()
Deposition of aerosol of organometallic compounds is a chemical vacuumless technology developed originally for the manufacture of thin oxide films (PRL 97, 107205 (2006)) and enhanced for the deposition of nanocomposite (Nature Mat. 2. 247 (2003) and superlattices (PRB 79. 134,413 (2009 .) Aerosol organic solutions containing B-diketonates of metals (such as La, Ca-, Mn-acetylacetonates), sprayed onto a heated substrate. film grows as a result of heterogeneous pyrolysis reactions of organometallic components.
